Our vision began as a jazz loft.  We specified jazz because its history and roots in the culture of revolution through art is one that we truly believe is crucial.  But the reality is that our vision can't be beholden to the epic battle of acceptance in genre.  We want to be driven by the heart of where artistry in sound comes from.

Thus, we will be booking an entire years worth of performances at a time.  Like a festival based around one idea- one contextual thread from artist to artist, our plan is to never cut the thread, and have the maze be our constant home.

We believe this gives weight to the story of where the artist and their art come from, how it changes, evolves, connects, and in the end, broadens the audience's connection to the sounds they love.

Through our programs we will be providing rehearsal spaces, paid performances, gallery exhibits, free community outreach workshops for local schools and the general public, a street support initiative, and biannual fundraisers for local need-based groups.

We believe Art and survival often seem to exist hand-in-hand.  And too often, the act of surviving becomes so exhaustive that artists can't spend the time they need to focus on innovating their art.  Maison seeks to cradle these artists and their local communities so that both can evolve, one hand feeding the other.  Because culture and community lack without art, and art without community hampers growth.

"I believe that Jazz was once a revolution, and I truly believe that art can change the world.  Maison will strive to create the space and resources needed to stimulate the revitalization of these truths."
